This afternoon echo 11 unit arrived at Bernards Park to face off with Young Men’s Social Club in the Masters league for the first league game of the new year this season. Prospect United started off strong and netted the first goal of the game running against the wind. Social Club wasn’t to be undone at home and came back to equalize the matters. Just as it seemed that it may be a stalemate Social Club broke through the defenses and slotted home a go ahead goal within the 1st half of the match.
Prospect had to face the second half tailing the game but with the masters league title on their minds the quickly began their second half comeback run and ended the game. Social Club 4 Prospect United 4.

Masters League KO Cup Flanagan’s 2 Prospect United 1

This afternoon # 4 seeded Prospect United took on Number #1 seeded Flanagan’s at Goose Gosling field for the anticipated Master League Knock Out Cup.
The opening whistle provided every expectation conceived with both teams executing brut force and skill on a warm but brisk afternoon at the Bermuda Athletics Club astroturf field.
Dexter Hunt led his men with Colin Steward firing on all cylinders with crosses provided by the ever trusty David Urbina on the left and Stephen Dennie on the right.
Flanagan’s made the most of their only chance in front of goal with a full strike at the top of the box leaving the keeper no chance.
Prospect continued their pressure game and Colin Steward was granted an penalty kick which he slotted the keeper in the corner pocket to equalize the game.
Both teams rethought their game plan at the half with the score at 1 -1.
Flanagan’s once again capitalized on their rare opportunity in front of goal with another belter in the top pigeon that ultimately changed the face of the game granting them the lead at home 2 -1 this time with the wind.
Prospect created chance after chance and continued to press their opponents.
Flanagan’s had a chance to finish the game with clumsy tackle resulting in a penalty kick that was sliced wide of the goal mouth giving a phycological chance for Prospect to equalize the game.
