This afternoon at Headquarters Hill 2018 Masters League Champions Prospect United descended from the Police Recreation Club ready to take on undefeated league leaders Flanagans on a windswept field at he home fixture.

Prospect Were full of confidence after beating the outfit in the KO Cup restoring their hopes of achieving the the league and cup consecutive seasons.

Flanagans were determined to solidify their defense and right the mistakes from their last encounter at the champions home ground.

Police struck first after some good play down the flank allowing Jamaican International Colin Stewart the ability to turn on a dime and fire a right footed toe burner into the  opponents top pigeon.

Flanagans were not to be denied after some accurate passing game allowed them to capitalize on a back pass orchestrated by the Chief and seemingly equaled the scoring.

Masters league leading goal scorer Jonathan Wood extended his lead as well as retaking the lead in the game by squeezing a daisy cutter between the keeper and the right post into the bottom corner pocket from 14 yards out.

Both team entered the half ready to compete for the rest of the afternoon with prospect managing but heir strikers onto the score sheet and Flanagans captain finding his way as well.

Flanagans made some technical changes providing fresh legs for their wing attack. But Prospect had their own intentions to see the game out with Hosan Clarke and Jonny Talbot to counter.

Just as Flangans began to execute their plan Prospects chin leapt up to the task ashot 30 yard looper over the Flanagans goal keeper crushing their momentum and setting up a long afternoon at the PRC football field.

Nevertheless Flanagans refused to lay down and continued their game plan which finished in stylish goal to pull the team back into contention.

Despite the chief 1st half positioning he made well of his forward role and beat the keeper and scoring the 4th goal of the game.

Flanagans played well away from home but the Prospect fire power allowed Shane Simmons the opportunity to strike from distance leaving the keeper no chance and ended the encounter Prospect 5 Flanagans 2.
