
This afternoon PHC Zebras stadium hosted the Masters League Champions Prospect United in a event full of action and goals to cap off the event.
Both Prospect’s strikers Woody and Steward were available for the encounter forcing PHC to draw from the clubs divisional players to match the Prospect roster.
Player coach Thompson flew back from Jamaica for the game to settle the issue.
PHC took the lead through Quinton Stovell early but Prospect were not to be denied. As the players warmed up they started to put together some good play especially from the middle of the pitch.
The wind swept field caused problems for both teams attempting long balls and crosses so both had to adapt to on the ground play creating triangles and short passes.
Both teams entered the half with PHC edging Prospect 2-0. Both ponce the referee blew his whistle.
Prospect began running at PHC relentlessly causing havoc in the PHC penalty box with Woody slipping past 3 defenders and a keeper and firing his shot into the corner pocket reminding PHC why Prospect showed up to the field.
Minutes later Chin collected the ball at the top of the 1 yard box and sent in a daisy cutter that the keeper could not manage to handle.
