Hamilton Parish 5 Prospect 5

This afternoon East Enders Hamilton Parish took on newly crowned champions Prospect United in a tantalizing affair that was bound to produced goals by the bundles.

Hamilton Parish were on  high after beating the KO winners St. Georges Stallions last week 4-1 and thought that this week they would have the same luck, but head coach Chris Thompson always comes with a winning game plan that the rest of the league have yet to figure out.

Hamilton Parish struck first against the run of play with Kaya and Crucial leading the front line and were able to run away with 2 – 0 lead in the first half.

Chris Thompson made a few technical changes which ultimately turned the game on its head with this summers signing Leke scoring the games first goal within the 18 yard box.

Hamilton Parish’s lead quickly evaporating, they resorted to falling down and flopping around in the 18 yard box in order to draw a penalties in order to slow down the run of play and extend their lead with their legs becoming fatigued and heavy.

Chis Thompson laced his boots and lead the attack from the front line and intercepted the ball from the goalkeeper and slipped it into the corner pocket short side before he had a chance to recover from his blunder.

Prospect were able to win a penalty of their own when after video replay showed that the ball played along the line never was ruled outside of play regardless of what the players thought and sprung a counter attack to which parish was forced to handled the ball in their 18 yard box resulting in a penalty kick form the spot to which Leke converted to the keepers left hand side.

Newly signed Michael Simmons returned to the fold after playing for several teams and provided the engine in the mid field and also ran at the defensive line and fired a roofer into the net frustrating the Hamilton Parish head coach to which he couldn’t find a way to run away with the game.

Just as Hamilton Parish thought they might have taken the points back with them a floated ball from David Urbina eluded the goalkeeper and found the right boot of Chin to which he volley home the equalizer and ended the game Hamilton Parish 5 Prospect United 5.
