Saturday afternoon around 3p.m. police vehicles proceeded to move in on the hostile crowds on the grounds at Devonshire Recreation field.
Devonshire football players took aim at Llewellyn Simons to which he was not able to get up unscaved after making numerous diving saves during the early violence.
Police had to call in Barbados recruits in order solidify their defensive units allowing Colin Stuart the opportunity to fire a rifle from the spot which silenced the onlookers.
Devonshire continued to resist in which police brought on the Jamaican attack force to the front line forcing the Devonshire pretenders into arrest.
5 mins before the end of the game was a one on one in which the Devonshire striker took a shot forcing Keeper Simmons to dive to his left to save the game.
Referee Arthur asked his men to accept defeat and finally blew his while ending the game at 2-3.
Keeper Simmons was quoted after the game saying” My save in the last 5 minutes of the game gave us the win…”
